A lakeside village after the war.
A boy who can’t find words for his feelings.
And a father whose silence is heavier than anger.
Eighteen-year-old Sebastian Vesper is on the verge of adulthood, torn between his father’s strictures and the guilt of his unnameable feelings for his friend Noel. As the silence slowly turns into words, the lake reflects everything: longing, fear, and the question of how we find ourselves again where the truth is not spoken.
Windlake is a lyrical and painfully honest story about unspoken feelings, the importance of family, first love, and how sometimes the hardest path is the one that leads us back to ourselves.
